Entrepreneurial cognition and thinking style: Testing non-linear thinking skills: A sequel

Friday, March 31st, 2017.
The successful February nonlinear thinking tests were followed by a discussion and analysis of results (http://www.prode.me/ Tuesday, February 14th, 2017). Consequently, in a weeks to come, UDG students will be set for a new round of nonlinear testing puzzles. Perceptual thinking and inductive reasoning are some of the topics that will be wrapped up by a news cycle. The idea is to screen and to enhance nonlinear thinking skills among UDG students. Series of tests, followed by discussions, are planned for this semester. Tests are anonymous.
As staded on ProDe site (Tuesday, February 14th, 2017) ProDe laboratory is planning for a next step to grow. Subsequent to commercialization, ProDe is shaping up to launch a student start-up company. Following the examples of successful companies and trying to understand entrepreneurial cognition through thinking style, it is found that the nonlinear thinking seems to be making all the difference. In order to launch successful enterprise one needs to think differently.

Nonlinear thinking is defined as a style of thinking using intuition, insight, creativity, and emotions when comprehending and communicating information (Vance, Groves, Paik, & Kindler, 2007).

Nonlinear thinking can be learned, practiced and used. It is possible for a person to attain skill in nonlinear thinking just as it is possible to acquire skill in mathematics.
