Understanding entrepreneurial cognition through thinking style. Testing non-linear thinking skills

Tuesday, February 14th, 2017.
ProDe laboratory is planning for a next step to grow. Subsequent to commercialization, ProDe is shaping up to launch a student start-up company. Following the examples of successful companies and trying to understand entrepreneurial cognition through thinking style, it is found that the nonlinear thinking seems to be making all the difference. In order to launch successful enterprise one needs to think differently.

Nonlinear thinking is defined as a style of thinking using intuition, insight, creativity, and emotions when comprehending and communicating information (Vance, Groves, Paik, & Kindler, 2007).

Nonlinear thinking can be learned, practiced and used. It is possible for a person to attain skill in nonlinear thinking just as it is possible to acquire skill in mathematics.

With the idea to screen and to enhance nonlinear thinking skills among UDG students, series of tests, followed by discussions, are planned for this semester. The aim of the first test is oriented towards enhancing the Focus tools. First test is scheduled for the week of February 13, 2017. Tests are anonymous.
