ProDe in media spotlight

UDG Laboratories ProDe and IdeaLab were portrayed on national television RTCG1 and TV Prva, one of the highest rated Regional TV stations. A few minutes long clip combined interviews of UDG students, before embarking for a study visit to China, with the presentation of laboratory equipment, products and services. A parallel was drawn between the most advanced 3D printing in the world, with the ProDe and IdeaLab innovative results, developments and challenges. Emphasis was made on interdisciplinary activities of several UDG Faculties (Faculty of Design and Multimedia, Polytechnics, Faculty for Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology and Faculty for International Economics Finances and Business ) on a project that was recognized on Montenegrin market: a jar for original Montenegrin honey, with a cover created to imply similarity to Montenegrin traditional national hat. Maintenance: ProDe 3D printer ProJet660 passed regular maintenance check with flying colors

With commercialization plans ahead and with the goal to ensure and to preserve the quality, while curbing maintenance cost, ProDe equipment was subjected to regular service. After several days of engineering checkups ProDe equipment is declared again Ready to Use. Equipment maintenance coast and material price is still considered to be on a higher end, for powder 3D printer, as it is on the top of the line, for creating the highest quality 3D models, prototypes and parts. National TV station RTCG1, on morning edition, broadcasted on March 15, aired interview with UDG faculties about several conferences scheduled to be hosted by University of Donja Gorica during the next few months. The 15the Annual BMDA (Baltic Management Development Association) Conference raised significant interest during the interview. The theme of BMDA Conference is "You Don't Have to Be Big to Be Successful" . The Conference will take place April 26-28. On the search for a competitive advantages based on various features and capabilities, ProDe is entering the world of biodegradable products. Biodegradables ensure the sustainability of product life-cycle (PLC) The term PLC is used to describe the stages a product goes through from initial development (start of life) to its removal from the market when sales have declined (end of life). There are six stages to the PLC: Development, Introduction, Growth; Maturity; Saturation; Decline. Polylactic Acid (PLA) is different than most thermoplastic polymers in that it is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. Most plastics, by contrast, are derived from the distillation and polymerization of nonrenewable petroleum reserves. Plastics that are derived from biomass (e.g. PLA) are known as “bioplastics.”

EcoLogic Studio (London & Barcelona) presents their work to Polytechnics UDG

Professor Claudia Pasquero ( EcoLogic Studio – London and IAAC Barcelona), gave talk to Polytechnics at UDG on March 21, 2017. In line with the biodegradable biodigital and eco design, professors at UDG - architects Dijana Vučinić and Marko Stjepčević, paired up with respectable world architect, continuing their joint work on Eco-solution for well-known Montenegrin bird habitat of Solana Ulcinj. Architect Pasquero is on a work-tour in Montenegro with her students with whom she continued research related to project of Solana Ulcinj.

Entrepreneurial cognition and thinking style: Testing non-linear thinking skills: A sequel

The successful February nonlinear thinking tests were followed by a discussion and analysis of results (http://www.prode.me/ Tuesday, February 14th, 2017). Consequently, in a weeks to come, UDG students will be set for a new round of nonlinear testing puzzles. Perceptual thinking and inductive reasoning are some of the topics that will be wrapped up by a news cycle. The idea is to screen and to enhance nonlinear thinking skills among UDG students. Series of tests, followed by discussions, are planned for this semester. Tests are anonymous.
