PRODE and iDEAlab collaborate in preparation for STARTIFY StartUp Weekend

Students from University of Donja Gorica will participate in regional competition, StartUp Weekend – STARTIFY in Novi Sad, 24-30 October 2016. In preparation for the competition, two teams of UDG students worked on their business ideas – Light4Life and Signalless, collaborating with UDG Laboratories for product design- PRODE and iDEAlab. This competition is part of activities within the Tempus project “Fostering students’ entrepreneurship and open innovation in university-industry collaboration (iDEALab)”.

Chinese delegation visits ProDe Laboratory

Delegation from Chinese Embassy in Montenegro, accompanied by leaders of SRBG Company, visited University of Donja Gorica and ProDe Laboratory, on Feburary 13, 2017. Mr. Wang Chuanf from SRBG gave lecture to UDG students about the most recent company’s construction projects. Lecture was followed by Q&A session. In light of successful UDG student exchange with China, prominent guests discussed possibilities for future cooperation.

Commercialization: Ensuring the Quality

To be considered as a competitor in global innovation market, ProDe products and services need to be created with elevated quality. With the goal to test in detail the materials used for printing and to wrap-up the quality of printing process, 3D testing models are intentionally created in ProDe Laboratory to be consequently subjected to series of mechanical tests. The purpose of testing is to obtain charts of strength and other relevant mechanical characteristics of materials used for 3D printing. Tests will take place in March 2017. Students of the second year of Polytechnics' undergraduate studies will participate in testing.
